Compared to Nico's setup your's have more understeer. I couldn't go flat out at La Rouge, but can go with Nico's. I think there is the biggest loss of time.

Really? I can go flat out through Eau Rouge even on full fuel with that set. Need to be precise with your turn-in though, then ride the inside curb on for the left-hander. I know what you mean about the understeer but I wanted something stable for the race, whenever I added more front wing it would get too squirrely into Pouhon (at least for me) and I'd lose more time then I gained elsewhere. Might not be a problem for you, try adding some front wing and see if you like that any better.

It's possible that my driving line through Eua Rouge is not perfect. After all I didn't made to many laps on that track. I was a little surprised that your setup didn't suit me right away Wink

Will you drive Indianapolis ?

Attached is an early attempt at a minimum downforce race setup for Indy. Balance moves around a bit until the tires warm up, then it's decent but pushy. Going to try and play around with wing settings tonight to see if more downforce can help with qualifying, will update later.

I increase preload to 3k and it's more stable on acceleration but in the middle of the corner and on turn in, it still oversteer to much for me.
What to change to fix that ? Maybe i have to change approach to corner but first I'd like to change setup because it's easier then change driving style Wink

Really great time Scott in the hosted practice (1:14:8xx)! Did you run it with the setup you have put here?

That lap was with a slightly higher DF setup (attached), but with the earlier one I posted I can run high 14s/low 15s also. The extra wing makes this set a bit more forgiving if you make a mistake but I think low DF is the way to go for the race to help with overtaking.

For Q it's better to have lower DF but in race, at least for me low DF never works. IMS may be exception because insane long straight and there is no fast or medium fast corners where you need most DF. Lower DF may just do the trick here.
But I could be wrong Wink

Qual set attached with telemetry of a few laps with it. My optimal time looks to be around 1:14.3, been managing 14.6s rather consistently.

Race set attached, might make some more minor tweaks but this feels pretty good as is (at least for me). Good for 14.7s and 14.8s throughout the run.

Thank's. Once you mentioned you need telemetry from us. Which one ? From iSpeed or iRacing it self ? I will send you once I know which one you need.

P.S. : Until end of the week i will made for you signature like Juho and me already have.

Not really sure what iSpeed is, I just use the telemetry files from iRacing. If you could share some of your laps that would be awesome, looking at how other people drive is always a great way to find spots where you can go faster.

iSpeed is software for watch telemetry . It's like ATLAS from McLaren but much easier to use. You can load own lap and lap from any other user who uses this application. Maybe you should try it.
Ok, i will send you telemetry file and replay from tonight session. It's the least i can do to help you.

Telemetry from your race setup with 3/4 of fuel needed for a race. That's how you can little gamble when to pitstop Wink

This forum has max 10 megabytes of space for attachments. Those telemetry files are really big and the 10 meg. space is already halfway full.

If you can use some other space for them it would be great (like Saso just did). I can recommend Dropbox, it works very well!

But enough off topic, back to business! Wow those setups and driving - man you are flying Scott. Smile

Dropbox is a good idea. I use it at work and it works like a charm.
Yeah, this time Scott is just to fast for us Smile

Saso, follow the link for a quick comparison of our laps that I put together. You look to be consistently losing 0.2 to 0.3 in turns 1,2,3 and another 0.1 or 0.2 between T6&T7. You're better than me through T8&T9 but then lose it in T10&T11.

Man, that comparison is just awesome. Damn, i have to learn to use Atlas soon. It has much more information than iSpeed which i was using.
It's look like i have to change setup a little. If i break later for T1 front wheels almost always block , so i believe i have to move brake bias more to the rear.
Maybe i will change gear ratio for the 1st gear too. When i try to use 1st gear for slowest turns i have massive wheel spins which takes even more time.
But all in all i'm satisfied with my lap time. I bought this track on Sunday and I'm still learning and searching the best line for each corner, but this telemetry will surely helps me to drive a little faster.
Thank's again m8 !

I forgot to qualify so i started 8th :S I was a little bit lucky too because I managed to avoid 2 accidents on the first lap. Then it was quite easy, because no one had the pace like I had. The only problem was overtaking drivers for a lap. I lost lot of time here. I was never sure if they saw me or not, so I overtake them most on start/finish line and if I catch them in the middle of the circuit i lost more than sec that lap.

I saw you finish 3rd in top split. Nice work. I'm sure I haven't yet got the pace for podium finish in the top split. Top 10 will be fantastic result for me.

I hope Juho will have some good result tonight too. Yesterday i saw he was done 1.50.0xx.That's even faster then I was able to do before race.
It's look like this track really suits us.

I do not like this track. Feels like the one who designed it wanted to create a very frustrating track. Smile

I have gotten myself below 1:15 time, but still I don't enjoy driving around it. Going to race it tonight though. Hope you will join me.
