Twin Motegi 2012 Season 3

Another race in ARL calendar. I try to do first test tonight. Any idea which setup from previous tracks will be the right choice here ?

Not a single clue about this track, I just bought it among with the other tracks I was missing on road side.

I drove it last season but with nico's setup and was 3 sec of the pace :S So idea is to start practice today and try to find good setup as fast as I can. I will skip tonight 21:30 gmt race because I already run 2 races and from now the score will become average of two. And I'm quite happy with points I managed to gather yesterday

I did some testing last week using similar DF to my Spa setup and it seemed reasonable, don't know if that's actually the fastest though. I'm going to try and do some more testing tomorrow evening, hopefully I'll be able to figure something out.

WR is around 1.36.xxx . I managed 1.38.465 with race fuel,but I still miss racing line in some corners. I hope my q time will be under 1.37.5 until Wednesday. I take fixed setup for base, lowered ride height, move brake bias more to the rear and change rear ARB from 3-1 (not sure if was not from 1 to 3). I will upload setup to setup section if you want to try it.

Records from last season are 1:35.3 (race) and 1:34.8 (qual). Here's my starting setup and telemetry from testing last week, already down to high 1:36s with race fuel.

Yep your WR times are correct, I don't know where I found those times :S

With Scott setup stopwatch stopped at 1.36.922 but I have to rise rear wing for 4 deg. otherwise I spin almost on every braking. Tryed fixed set... no comment

Heh, I tried driving that set again tonight and was having the same problem at first. If you shift the ballast forward to get ~46% weight on front axle it should help, not sure why I had it quite so far rearward before

You seem to be better than me in T1/T2 and T7/T8, but I gain it all back from T11 to T14

The URLs of your links are interesting, why do they link to an adf.ly-page? The adf.ly-part doesn't even show in the url shown in the forum messages.

Does the owner of this forum-service force all links through his/her adf.ly-page and get adverticement income that way or what is going on? Just makes me wonder.

I belive that site where we store the files forces this adds. But for free 16GB storage and no harm to my computer the adds doesn't disturb me to much

Ah, that might be it. I tested and links here seem fine.

Race day.. practice day for tomorrow.

I think the ads are from the site hosting the files, but you only need to wait a few seconds and then skip past.

Juho/Cyril, I can put together similar comparisons for you also if you want, just post some telemetry of your laps. The only reason I didn't do it for Laguna Seca was because I didn't get much practice and you were faster than me everywhere! Didn't think there was much point trying to show you where you were already doing well.

Racing here is hard... damn hard. I better not make any silly mistake tomorrow like I did today. You can be over 1 sec faster but you have 5% chance to clean overtake opponent. Nice driving Scott and Juho. Cyrill nice job,you have improved your lap times for quite a margin.
