Chicanes with high kerbs, walls close to the track, a couple of nice fast corners and late afternoon lighting with many shadows - week 7 is the Zolder week in the IndyCar Road series. The former Champ Car track debuted in the open series schedule last season and got quite a nice participation despite us being one of the first series running at the track after it was released in August. Passing is difficult here if the driver in front doesn't make mistakes. But for even the best drivers it is difficult to be mistake-free for the entire race especially at the three chicanes which require hard braking and very precise driving.
This season, also the fixed series is racing at Zolder. The fixed setup is pretty easy to drive for a change with less aggressive differential settings and longer first gear than most fixed road setups have.
