2013 S2 Week 5 - Interlagos

Just bought this track and after few laps i'm not sure i was driving this track in any sim before I have hate this track before, but now since i tried it in iRacing i just love it.

not sure if i'm going to race this week. don't own the track yet, plus i think i need a little break after the crappy results i've had lately

I know how you feel. Had whole last season with Dallara like that.

Yeah, lost 250 iR and 1.0 SR in the last 2 weeks

I just did around 30 laps here and I my best lap time so far is 1.14.9xx with not Q neither race fuel. I had around 30 kg on board. I will make few more changes on the setup and then post it here if somebody want's to try it .

iRating from 2500 to under 2000... crazy times At the time i had a felling like i'm a magnet for bad luck....

Even though the gearing is quite similar, my watkins-setup feels very loose here. The surface seems to be much more slippy. Feels frustrating and I haven't got my setup to feel good here yet...

Normally my tactic has been that I always improve my setup from the previous track and I run very similar setups every week (maybe apart from wings and gear ratios), but I really struggle with FW31 with that kind of approach. The same setup that feels good on some track feels so weird on another. Kinda frustrating and takes so much effort every week.

If only they drove some other car in Pro series, I would not touch this car ever again.

Hehe, i had the same felling about F1 car not so long ago
But now i'm not really sure is that car junk or it is ok.
First problem IMHO is setups. I don't remember to drive any track with something else then highdown force pack and always changing just rear wickers.
The worst part of this car IMO is low speed grip. In the tracks like Watkins where downforce can do proper job this car is driving like i believe it should. @ Interlagos where we have many slow speed corners the car is handling like on ice surface...
I hope they will fix low speed issue in the next build and then i believe this car will be a blast to drive .

By the way... to remove some ice-ing effect at the rear i found out that inerters to 30 kg makes some improvement

Awesome, make that 3 weeks in a row now where I've had a lap 1 crash not of my making...

I guess my tacticts not to do q lap pays off.. i saw a lot of times guys in front crashing in first lap. It looks like they drive to hard in lap 1, spun off and almost always takes some more guys with them.
I always wait until lap 3 and then start to push, before that i just keep the distance so it's harder for someone who spins to take me with him.
