| Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca with its Corkscrew corner is one of the most classic IndyCar tracks in our schedule, despite it was never raced with the Dallara IR-03/05. Laguna is twisty and narrow and punishes easily from mistakes but many series veterans like the nice flow the track has. Overtaking is difficult but can be done at the braking zones before Andretti hairpin and the last turn. Since Laguna Seca is a free track and familiar to most drivers, we should have more official races and bigger fields than last week at Barber. Race information: Length: 41 laps Pace lap: full Pit stops: 1 Total amount of fuel needed: 27-28 gallons (102.2-106.0 litres) Season 2 World Records: Qualifying - 1:09.267 (Mikko Nässi) Race - 1:10.062 (Mikko Nässi) Races that always or nearly always go official: Wednesday - 19:30 GMT Friday - 1:30 GMT and 19:30 GMT (European SOF and 2nd split championship) Saturday - 1:30 GMT (Australasian/American SOF), 15:30 GMT, 17:30 GMT and 19:30 GMT Races that go official on some weeks: Wednesday - 1:30 GMT Friday - 21:30 GMT and 23:30 GMT Saturday - 11:30 GMT, 13:30 GMT, 21:30 GMT and 23:30 GMT | |

| Seems that my Zolder-setup feels pretty good here right-out-of-the-box. | |

| I will do some laps today and will see how zolder setup works for me:) If i remember correctly last season i had decent setup but 0% of luck here. I hope this season will be better. I have just one chance to made a difference since on Friday i travel to Croatia to business "new years" party (can't wait) Has any of you ever tried V8 Ford in iRacing ? Few guys have invited me to their league... I haven't say nothing yet but maybe next season will be fun racing with V8 or McLaren in their league. | |

| The V8 is great. I ran about a half season with it. The problem with that car was that most of the drivers are from Australia so there weren't many races on european evenings. The situation might have changed but I'm not sure.
I'm going to focus on Dallara for the rest of this season and after that I'll start my pro-licence hunt with FW31. | |

| I'm too week when it comes to setup's so my pro licence will have to wait a little more On the other hand maybe i will try it for one season and see how it goes. Yeah, with V8 it's hard to find EU races but ESRA league had more than 40 drivers and they drive in EU time... Will see, but for now i'm sticking with Dallara | |

| I'm not sure either if I have what it takes to make it PRO next year, but season 1 seems like a good time to start driving it, because if I don't make it to PRO on season 1 (which is very likely) I still have season 2 and 3 to try to make it. It took me over a season here with Dallara to learn how to set it up for my style and there are even more settings with FW31 so it definetely will take time. By the way, Jussi asked me if I could remind others in my team about the Dallara S1 schedule vote that is going on on the iforum: http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/2405289.page . | |

| haven't had a chance to do any laps here yet, hoping to still get a race or two in this week though. i just started my christmas vacation so i should have plenty of time. haven't tried the v8 before and don't own the car. next season i will probably focus on the FW31 primarily, though maybe with some dallara races as well once i get frustrated with learning the new car | |

| It's great to hear I'm not the only one entering the F1-world! I'm sure we can help each other with setup tips like with Dallara. Btw, Scott could you book us a test afternoon with the Sauber F1 car by any chance? Just to get to know the F1-cars a bit more. | |

| Scott that would be .... AWESOME, but i can hardly belive it's possible . I will probably drive FW31 in open wheeler and Mclaren in GT class next season. I just have to go back to GT to learn basic setup tricks and finally after all these years of simracing learn how to do setup from scratch By the way i've got email from Cyril. New business (he started his own company) takes his all work and free time, so he will be out from iRacing for some time. But he will be back | |

| Didn't get a chance to race this week but did practice a bunch to get my feel of the car back. After two sessions I was faster than I was last season So, it's looking good for me starting to racing again. I ran one at Zolder even though I didn't think I was ready and actually did alright until I hit the sausages outside T2 and lost power. Hopefully I can get a number of races in next week and start learning the FW31 as well. Trying to set it up properly is going to be absolutely horrible though, I can't believe how few data channels are logged in the telemtry! So much for providing data equal to what's available on the real cars. Oh well, just going to take some rather creative thinking I guess. | |
