IMS 2012 Season 4

Nothing to report yet I'm going to do some laps right now and i hope last years setups are still good.

My recent discovery of the wonderful world of springs has led me to already gain 1 second (!) compared to the last season. I will keep working on it and upload it here on the forum as soon as I'm pleased with it.

I'm stuck at 1.15.8xx at the moment, but before i lower my lap times i need to drive at least one lap without mistake .... at the moment mission impossible

What days are the races this season, same as last? I've got my computer and internet set up now so I'll be able to do some practicing at least, but I won't have time to race on Wed, Fri, or Sat. Please tell me there's another day in there now...

Hope you catch some races Scott. My best today was 1.49.9xx while Juho's best i've seen was 1.39.9xx .... Man where is that 1 sec hiding ?

Yes I got it to a pretty stable point and managed to get personal best under 1:14! Uploading now.

For me it was mostly the springs. =) But 1:14:xx is not a bad time, my last years Q time was 1:15:1xx. Only Riku ran below 1:14 last season.

Yeah I just watching difference between mine and yours setup. Our setups are totally different Your suspension are softer, ride hight higher, gears lower.... It's hard to belive that they were made for same track. But overall yours is much more stable, but I cannot turn in properly with it. I just have to find a way to make mine just a little bit more stable than it is in current stage...

Yeah Scott those are the race days as Saso mentioned. :/ I won't be able to race on wednesday either, but I will be hunting my first ever SOF-race win on friday. Seems like I might have a shot here (now that I said this I bet some people will run below 1:13 ).

Heh yeah I noticed that too. Was yours a lot lower than mine? I could try lowering mine if there is a lot of room. My setup is mostly the same as the one I ran @ Spa. I only try to make minor tweaks when the track changes to suit the new track. That way I get the same feeling on most tracks and with small tweaks I feel I can always make it a tiny bit better overall so it evolves all the time.

In other words I only have one setup that I use with all the tracks with minor tweaks to wings etc. but I try to improve it constantly.

Maybe i should try my spa setup too... i was pretty pleased with it.

Had a great race yesterday @ IMS . Shame there was a small grid but anyway there was enough action to do highlights from race.

My this season's visit to IMS was disappointing. Only managed to run one race (the europen SOF-race) and spun on lap 2 in T1. I was able get a decent finish (5th) but I'm very disappointed because I felt I had a good chance to finish on podium here. Winning would've required Riku to screw up somehow but comparing to others I had good pace.
