Season 4 status

Hi all,

I've been really busy lately with moving and the new job, and wanted to just post a quick update about my current/future status. Right now I'm stuck living in a hotel room with absolutely horrible internet so it's hard for me to get online even for the forum. In all likelihood I won't be set up in an apartment until the beginning of December. Looks like I won't be doing any racing for a while I'm looking forward to racing with you guys again when I can, but you're just going to have to pick up the slack without me for now Hopefully it won't be too long!

Maybe internet through GSM card is solution. Here in Slovenia it's perfect solution if you have bad intrnet. The speed is around 10/10 MB which is cool and it cost only 30€ per month.

I want to use this topic for one more thing. Like everybody knows new build will not be there before Wednesday. iRacing said that they will change nothing that will destroy our setups. So will you start to practice tomorrow or will you wait for new build ?
P.s. Last season after new build was deployed, times are slower then with old build.. at least some peoples claim that on forums...

I have so much schoolwork to do that I doubt I will get any practice done before thursday.

Hi guys ! i have just quit my job to work on my own. I spent last week to visit my clients accross France.
And i have so much to do to organize myself that i don't know yet when i will be able to come back on track.
and another problem .... i think i have a new girlfriend .... this will take me some time too

I've got my apartment sorted out now, but I can't move in until 1 December. Won't be back on track until then, unfortunately In the meantime I get to do some car shopping and find myself a real toy to play with

According to release notes they have reduced draft effects on Dallara... What draft effects?

Should we move on to FW31? I'm seriously considering it now.

Yeah, i think about that option too. Maybe it's time to leave dallara and go to FW31. Even before new build FW31 has a better draft and now they even make it bigger.
Gosh.... they support touch screen and used many hours on that, instead a 1 million other things that we ask for. They are lucky they got the best sim at the time , if that will not be the case a lot of people will go somewhere else;)

I did some testing at Mid-Ohio and the proper draft is back! The release notes were clearly misleading. After a season of parades, we can race again now.

So far I've narrowed it down to a choice between BMW 125i, BMW M135i, Ford Focus ST, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Renault Sport Clio, Subaru WRX STi, or VW Golf GTI. My plan for the season (once I come back at least) is still to race the Dallara primarily, but also practice in the FW31 and maybe start racing towards the end of the season if I'm comfortable in the car. Four more weeks without any racing is definitely going to suck though

From that list i will probably take Subaru I try FW31 in this build and it's quite good. Today we test Dallara as well and it has massive draft compare to last season. Maybe even to much, but now at least you can overtake if you are faster.But i guess you have to learn how to defend position corner or two, because car after you will surely take advantage of draft.

I'd go with the M1.

well... i'wasn't sure yet as nothing had happened yet. i was just feeling that it wasn't far...

i was not wrong: after a 2 days trip in Belgium with the girl.... i can now say "i have a new girlfriend" :p
